Container Spoiler is a patented device to reduce draft and increase propulsion of motorized vehicles, particularly containerized trucking on roadways. The net result will be:
- Significant per-mile and per-gallon cost savings in diesel, gasoline, CNG, or any combustible bio-fuels
- Increased efficiency resulting from reduced wind-age (drag) and increased propulsion as a result of foils / spoilers
- Environmentally sound, non-polluting technology which reduces carbon emissions and conserves all fuels
- There are roughly 9 million (M) large trucks in the US, driving 225 Billion (B) vehicle miles a year (in 2005) (Federal Highway Administration, http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov.htm)
- The President of the Truck Manufacturer’s Association (US) states that if every “truck in operation in the US adopted these technologies and improved fuel efficiency by 10%, it would translate into nearly one billion gallons per year of fuel savings.” At an average of $5 a gallon (today’s price in CA), that is a potential savings of $5B annually to truck operators and ultimately the consumer
